Preventive Care
Professional cleaning (scaling, air polishing) removes tartar and deposits that cannot be removed at home. It prevents gum diseases (periodontitis), cavities, and bad breath. We recommend a visit every 6 months.
Scaling removes hard tartar using ultrasound. Air polishing removes soft deposits and stains (e.g. from coffee, tea) using a pressurised stream of powder. These treatments are usually performed together.
Yes, in-office fluoridation is completely safe and a key element in strengthening enamel. We use certified preparations at appropriate concentrations that protect teeth from cavities.
We strongly recommend sonic toothbrushes. They are gentler on gums while more effectively removing plaque thanks to cavitation (microbubbles), which reaches hard-to-access areas.
Bleeding is usually the first sign of inflammation (gingivitis) caused by tartar buildup. Don't stop brushing! Book a professional cleaning — removing the cause usually resolves the problem immediately.
Microscopic Endodontics
Modern root canal treatment is completely painless. We use computer-controlled anaesthesia (The Wand/SleeperOne), which eliminates pain from the injection stage. Patients often fall asleep during the procedure!
The microscope (up to 25x magnification) allows the dentist to find all canals (even additional ones), clean and fill them precisely. This dramatically increases the chance of saving a tooth that might otherwise be extracted.
At Mikrostomart, we aim to complete root canal treatment in one visit. Thanks to microscope work and advanced machine tools, we can perform the entire procedure precisely and efficiently in 90-120 minutes.
Pain is not the only indicator. Often, inflammation develops chronically in the bone (granuloma) and is only visible on X-ray. This condition is a 'ticking time bomb' and a source of infection for the entire body, so treatment is necessary.
This is a corrective procedure when the original treatment (often years old) proves unsuccessful. It involves removing the old material, finding missed canals, and filling them again under sterile conditions. This is a more complex procedure in which our clinic specialises.
Aesthetic Dentistry
Veneers are thin shells (porcelain or composite) bonded to the front of a tooth. They correct shape, colour, and minor irregularities. They can achieve a 'Hollywood Smile' effect without braces if the issue is minor.
No, professional whitening performed in-office under the hygienist's supervision is safe. We use modern preparations that do not demineralise enamel — they only oxidise the stains within its structure.
The effect typically lasts 1 to 3 years. It depends mainly on your diet (coffee, wine, turmeric) and habits (smoking). Regular hygiene appointments help maintain the results.
Bonding is a non-invasive method of improving tooth aesthetics using composite resin. We do it in one visit, without grinding teeth. Ideal for closing a diastema (gap between teeth) or repairing a chipped edge.
The process usually takes 2-3 visits. The first is a consultation and design (DSD). The second is minimal preparation and scanning (no impressions!). The third is cementing the finished, beautiful veneers.
Implantology
Most adult patients can have implants. Contraindications may include certain uncontrolled systemic diseases. The key factor is bone volume — if insufficient, we perform regenerative procedures.
Implant placement itself usually takes 30-40 minutes and is painless. The osseointegration process (bonding with bone) takes 3 to 6 months, after which the final crown is placed.
Implant success rate is about 98%. Rejection is extremely rare. If it does occur (e.g. due to infection or smoking), the procedure can usually be repeated after healing.
Absolutely not! Implants are made of titanium or zirconia, which are non-magnetic and do not trigger security gates. You can travel worry-free.
It's a procedure where we remove a damaged tooth and place an implant in its place during the same visit. This saves time (one procedure, one anaesthesia) and preserves more bone and gum tissue.
Prosthetics
A veneer covers only the front of the tooth (aesthetics). A crown covers the entire tooth like a cap (restoration and reinforcement). The decision is made by the dentist based on the degree of tooth damage.
This is a common name for adhesive bridges (fibre-reinforced). They are a temporary or long-term solution that fills a missing tooth gap without heavy grinding of neighbours.
We prioritise the highest aesthetics and durability, so we mainly use all-ceramic crowns (E.max) and zirconia crowns. They don't cause gum 'greying' (like old metal-based crowns) and are indistinguishable from natural teeth.
Thanks to our digital scanner, we don't need unpleasant impression moulds. We scan teeth with a 3D camera and send the design to the laboratory. The finished crown is cemented usually within 5-7 working days.
Orthodontics
It's a set of transparent trays that you change every 1-2 weeks. Each successive aligner gently moves teeth into position. They are removable for eating and cleaning, ensuring hygiene and comfort.
With aligners, pain is minimal — patients describe it more as a 'pressure sensation' for 1-2 days after fitting a new pair. This is incomparably less discomfort than with fixed metal braces.
Aligner treatment is usually shorter than traditional. Average duration is 6-18 months, depending on the condition. At the first visit, we'll show you a 3D simulation and tell you exactly how long your treatment will take.
We use retention (a thin wire on the inside or a night aligner) that holds teeth in their new position. This is a standard procedure guaranteeing lasting results.
Oral Surgery
When there's not enough space in the arch (crowding), they cause inflammation, decay in adjacent teeth, or cysts. We assess this based on a panoramic X-ray.
It's platelet-rich fibrin obtained from the patient's blood. It acts as a natural 'super-bandage', accelerating wound healing after extraction by several times.
Don't eat for 2 hours. On the day of the procedure, avoid hot food and physical exertion. Don't rinse your mouth vigorously (to avoid dislodging the clot). Apply cold compresses. If in doubt, call the clinic.
It occurs rarely (about 2-5%), mainly in smokers or women using hormonal contraception. To prevent it, we use PRF and ozone therapy, which dramatically reduce complication risk.
Children & Young Patient Care
We invite you for a first introductory visit at age 2-3, or earlier if something concerns you. It's a playful visit without treatment that builds the young patient's trust in the dentist.
Of course! Healthy baby teeth mean healthy permanent teeth. Untreated cavities in children can lead to bite problems in the future. We use colourful fillings that children love.
Sealant application protects the grooves in molars (permanent sixth teeth) with a special coating. Grooves are where cavities develop fastest because the toothbrush can't reach them. The procedure is quick and completely painless.
We have extensive experience with young patients. We use the 'tell-show-do' method. We use 'magic air' (nitrous oxide sedation), cartoons on the ceiling screen, and rewards. We don't treat by force — we build a relationship.
Organisation & Finance
We accept cash, debit/credit cards, and BLIK. Instalment payment is also available through MediRaty (prior verification required).
No, we are a private clinic and don't require any referrals. Simply book a consultation appointment.
There is a private, free car park directly in front of the clinic for patients. You'll never have to look for a spot or pay a parking meter.
If you have a recent panoramic X-ray (no older than 6 months), bring it with you. Prepare a list of medications you take. If a specific tooth hurts, try to identify what triggers it (cold, heat, biting).
Warranty & Safety
Yes, we provide a 2-year warranty on fillings and prosthetic work. Maintaining it requires regular check-up and hygiene visits every 6 months (as recommended by your dentist).
Mild discomfort after certain procedures is normal, but your peace of mind is our top priority. In case of severe pain or concerning symptoms, please contact us — we will always find time to check that healing is progressing properly.
Sterilisation is our absolute priority. We use a top medical-grade autoclave (Class B). All instruments are packed in sterile pouches opened in front of the patient. Dental handpieces are oiled and sterilised after every patient.
